Headlight ground

Post by HateMyAuto »

Hey, my left high beam doesn't work, and I just replaced the bulb. the right one works, and they are on the same positive cable, so I'm thinking the ground is bad or disconnected. Where is this lamp grounded?

'89 or '96?  In the '89, at least, the lamp is grounded at a splice in the harness just before it passes into the engine compartment (beside the radiator).  It then grounds at the bolt in front of your battery.  I think in the '96 it enters by the fender (?).
