Door Jam Switch?

Post by TheWhiteWolf »

Can someone please find out where the door jam switch is located on a '94 Z26?
The previous owner appears to have had an alarm installed and the fuse that should affects the interior lights/headlight warning has some weird insert that has 2 slots for fuses.  One slot does nothing and the other is like this insert is not in there.   When the fuse is put in place, no matter door open or close, key in on/off/acc, or the engine is running, the interior lights stay on and I hear the 'ding' noise.
The headlight switch is not at fault, already attempted to change it.

Really?? No one has a '94 and knows where the switch is?  There must be someone that drives a '94 and can take a look to see if they can find theirs.
The only thing I can think is that it was at one point located in the bottom front part of the door jam (the part that has common rust problems)  Both sides have been patched on mine due to complete rot.

I believe it's all self contained in the door latch.

sounds like  your features module might be acting up. its the colored box on the left side  of the steering column.
