Thanks for your help, Rettax3 and ifixalot.
The camshaft bearings have not been replaced, because i didn't want to spend the money for the tool.
But now I wish I had done it.
Yesterday I performed a compression test on all six cylinders, and the readings were over 200 PSI
for all but a couple, which read around 180 PSI. Encouraging for me, at least the timing chain is correctly
installed, ha ha. I'm not even sure if this is an interference-type engine, but I assume so.
