NEED HELP LOCATING selector cable

Post by Dyceman »

Hello all!!

I have a 1990 Beretta 2.3L with a 282 Muncie and my selector cable has snapped mid line, I have been searching all over the place for a replacement. Does anyone know of a reliable place to order replacement cables from.

None exist new. Luckily I kept my set. Was tossing boxes in the trash and unknowingly the box with those almost went as well.

Rodney Dickman was actually thinking about having them made at one point.
Don't think he ever did it though.

Hey hey All, I have some great news to those of you that in the future might need a selector cable!!!

So i ordered this from Amazon, and even though it is an inch longer then the original, I am shifting as tight as can be and seriously it has totally solved all my shifting issues.

The funny thing is it said it would not work in my Beretta, but I swear to you I have video of my Beretta revving and pulling out of the garage and laying a beautiful 44 foot piece of rubber. Only done because I have been working on her trying idea after thing after thing and nothing working!!

Here is the link to the part I am using as my selector cable!!
