Door check strap/hinge link interchangeability

I had a broken door check strap/hinge link on the drivers side. The '87-'92 design is different than the '93+. I had no luck finding a '93+ part.
Thanks to user ifixalot for providing a ebay link to the early design part.
I was able to successfully install the early design part on my '93.
I did have to buy nuts, flat washers, and lock washers. The thread on the early style studs is M6 (I believe), the newer style is smaller. The hardware was available at the local hardware.

Installed with new larger hardware. I used 1/4" flats with M6 flats, locks, and nuts. The 1/4" flats were to help reinforce since the area was stressed from the door being overextended.
