Dyno simulator
Dyno simulator
Hey just wondering if any of you have access to a dyno simulator. I'm trying to get a rough idea of what type of power I can squeeze from the Corsica with my planned mods I'm looking to shoot somewhere in the 200s.

Re: Dyno simulator
I've got one. It needs to know cam timing, compression ratio, cylinder head flow at each .100 lift and your basic exhaust.
When I put everything in for a stock 3400 it came up with 187hp, which is pretty close.

Re: Dyno simulator
Do you know of any resources that might have those numbers for a stock 2.2? Best I have for you now is the CR I'm shooting, cam specs and the fact I plan on running no cat and 2.25" exhaust.

Re: Dyno simulator
I really don't know on that. But here's a screen shot of the info you need:

Okay let's see if I got everything that's needed (probably not). The stock CFM is 233, CR would be 10.5:1. The cam timing would be 0 as I haven't gotten that far in the process. And here are my can specs :
Duration @ .050" : 206*/206*
Lobe Seperation Angle: 112*
Lobe lift: .313"/.313"
Lift @ valve: .501"/.501"
Hopefully this can be useful if something's wrong or missing let me know

Re: Dyno simulator
Lots of info still missing.
Bore and stroke?
23cfm on the head? At what lift? The more lift points the better. What size valves?
How big is the throttle body? I can figure cfm of that from there.
Those cam specs should be good.

Re: Dyno simulator
Bore is 89mm stroke is 88mm. TB size is going to be 56mm. I can't find the cfm at the specified lift apparently and I wouldn't know how to try and calculate something like that.

Re: Dyno simulator
You'd either have to measure it with a flow bench or find the info online. Unfortunately, there's not much sense in doing the calculation without accurate flow data.
