What sensor is this?
What sensor is this?
1988 Chevy Beretta GT
2.8 Liter v6 automatic.
The Air Conditioning Pump, there is a round 2 plug sensor on the back side of the AC pump, held in with a C type clip.
Is this a low side or high side sensor? The auto store lists both and I want to make sure I purchase the correct one for my new pump.

Re: What sensor is this?
I would guess:
a low pressure switch would be open (no conduction) at atmospheric pressure.
A high pressure would be closed at atmosphere (conducts) and opens at a too high pressure
So if they will let you put an ohmmeter on the new ones, you might be able to compare to your old one.

Re: What sensor is this?
Yah I guess I can try that.
I was hoping someone had an 88 service book to verify.
