How hard is it to put in a new pump and hoses? Hard to swap pullies?

Not terribly difficult if you are even somewhat mechanically inclined. I've replaced the PS pump on the Beretta at least three times in its life, along with a recent replacement of the metal hose connecting directly to the pump, and one of the pressure hose assemblies a long while back. To remove the pulley, you'll need a mult-jaw puller -- my cheapie that I bought a Walmart has served me well. I have an 18mm open end wrench in my tool box from when I had to buy it to replace the line that went into the rack many years ago. On the 89 2.8L, it helps to remove the coolant reservoir to give you some room to work. Use a turkey baster to remove fluid from the pump reservoir while it is still bolted in place, and once the pump is off the car, you'll need a punch to remove the roll pins holding the reservoir to the pump. Pump is in the open, hoses located in the tight areas at the rear of the engine.
