Whats up yall , havent been on here in a while
Ive been wanting to upgrade my headlights to true HID (maybe the E36 lights) My questions are : Are the wires plug and play or do you need some different type of balist? Besides cutting out behind the lights , what other mods are needed to run the lights? What bulbs should i get? I was thinkin bout maybe 6k or 8k

Re: hid
if you get 8k your not getting hid's for the reason why they were invented in the first place, which is better visibility.
that being said, yes you will have to mod your black header panel to fit the e36 lights in.
as far as wiring it up, the e36 projector is outdated and non-bixenon.

if you do hid's, you need to do them right.im sure some bimmer guys have retrofitted the headlights before.
with the bixenon, you'll have hid's for both hi's and lows, not just lows. then turn your hi beams into DRL's.
