Windshield Banners, GTU Decals, and C&C Build Stickers

Post by Kyle Anderson »

First off, to be very clear, I am not the seller. Do not contact me.

After meeting with a long time enthusiast, I was informed that Graphik Concepts of Farmington Hills, Michigan can make these. They are allegedly the original supplier of these decals to Cars & Concepts, but the person I spoke with was unable to confirm this (sounded like she hasn't been there long enough to know). I don't care enough to dig any deeper on the subject.

She did confirm that they have the images on file for the windshield banner and GTU decals. She sent me a scan of two original GTU decals with one still showing the OEM part number on the backing paper.

Here's what you need to know:

Set of GTU decals, 2 sides and 1 rear: $125
Windshield banner: $40

Colors are your choice, and custom colored GTU decals are possible.

The prices aren't super cheap, but it's a reliable source. Anyone can get them, any time, no minimum order, and in any color.

Update 12-28-13

Cars & Concepts build stickers are now available.

These are brand new, original quality, black printed over reflective silver, and die cut. These also come from Graphik Concepts, who is confirmed to be the original supplier of them.

Due to a very large minimum quantity and setup fee, they are not being offered direct from Graphik Concepts (if you want 150 of them you could...).

They are available on ebay for $10 each. (item #271353654411)

The original supplier was in Chicagoland. Not farmington hills.

September 4th you said, "I believe the place that made the decals is in Chicagoland BTW."

Have you confirmed it since then?

Well this is interesting... I wish we could also find the Indy decals on file somewhere, it would save me some time at having to get them duplicated here, but I guess after I do that then it will be nice to have a place to go to from here on out... And I think he will give me the scans so we could in theory go anywhere to have them printed.

I may order a windshield banner from them soon since the one I have isn't quite right.

I asked about the Indy decals and was told that 3M made and supplied those. How accurate that info is I have no idea. They said that due to copyright reasons they wouldn't consider duplicating them if I provided a set to scan.

And can you sticky this so people can find it?

I'm waiting to receive a set to remove the masking on to get scanned... Heavywoody said he was going to send me his set and hasn't yet due to being busy, and so did 1990BerettaGTZ2.3L but I haven't seen those either. I have a shop fully able and willing to copy and print these so really that's not the issue, I just need originals to scan.

I spoke with the company above last week and they said they could make me a new banner so I'm going to peruse that today and get that ordered for my pink car. The one I have right now is not the right size.

Update:

C&C build stickers are now available. Graphik Concepts was the original supplier, and made a fresh run of 150. Because of that minimum quantity, a fellow enthusiast footed the bill and is selling them individually.

All the info is in the original post in this thread.

Also to update: 3M was not the original supplier of the Indy decals; a division of Spartan Plastics called McLean Screenprinting in Holt, MI made the Indy decals. They are out of business but I've got information on where the guy that ran the screen printing department is at now.

Just a question did anyone redo the GT logos for 1991+?

No one ever provided a example or some artwork to do so...
