The car looks great. The engine and transmission are a really sweet combo. Why are you selling it at all?

I ditched mine because because it was so hacked up in so many respects (wiring modifications not done well, front lower radiator core support was bent up from curb damage, paint was starting to fade, one door had a dent the size of a fist I always wanted fixed, rust was getting worse underneath, and the list goes on). It was still a blast to drive though. I was 2 years out of college and starting to make money, so it was either spend a few thousand more fixing things, or sell out. I sold out, but eventually bought the Fiero I always wanted instead.

So, your car looks awesome as far as Beretta's go. Why sell it now? I'm sort of interested in it. How is the rust on the body? My rear strut tower mounts were the worst part.

Honest answer?

The reason for selling is a mix of the following things in no particular order:

-The fact we moved to a house with a smaller garage

-I have been in or around this group since 04 was proud of it until Bfest 2014. I'm ready to get out and explore other worlds so to say.

-I have 6 years going on 7 into this car burnt out on it

-I have a goal of paying my house off in 10 years and I dont want to have insurance tags maintenance on a 3rd car that I don't have time to drive and enjoy anyways.

-My dream car is a Corvette and that will most likely be the next thing after the house is paid off.

This is a steal for anybody interested. I been driving it with no issues before winter hit. The wheels are the hardest thing for me to let go but I have nothing else to put them on anyways.

I can sympathize with all of that. It's very admirable to work towards paying off a house in a short time period too. I've had a Corvette that I owned (paid off the car loan in the first year), paid off all my student loans, and just paid off my house this year (just over 9 years owning it). Getting the house was by far the most gratifying experience for me, personally. No one else really seemed cared about it, but it felt like a bigger accomplishment than graduating from college to be honest. It took twice as long to do. Taking entire annual bonuses and not buying toys multiple years was more challenging than most tests in college too. Good luck.

Anyways, how's the rust on the car? There has to be some, just wondering how much. Any pictures of the worst spot of rust on the brake lines and or the areas around the strut and shock towers?

The last pic I will ever take of the Z

Its been a great ride.

Lots of memories

Hated to let it go but just time to move on.

I have confidence that the new owner will take care of it.

Fyi, I'm not the buyer. ;) I was just wondering what the Beretta world was up to lately. The Fiero is still my number one car priority.

I'm the buyer, and I have to say, this is the nicest Beretta build that I've ever seen in person. Hats off to you and the friend that helped you build it, Shawn. I've already had multiple people drooling over the car and being absolutely shocked at the price I paid. When you open the hood on this car, it doesn't look like something someone has modded at home. Even the lights, body, and paint give this car an "off the showroom floor" vibe. My youngest daughter commented that she loved the smell of the interior and it reminded her of her mom's Grand Cherokee, which is all of about a week old. lol I've already spoken with AAA and they've sent me to an appraiser to determine the true value of the car. I've made an appointment with our local car audio gurus, Audio Dynamics, to finish some details with the sound system, including adding a 6 channel amp and custom sub box for the trunk, as well as sound-deadening for the doors, etc.

The car drove home like a dream, my dream, and got 39 mpg. The only issue I've had is that the battery has no clamp, which allowed it to knock the cold-air intake pipe loose. She has an occasional rough start or rough idle, due to the tuning not being entirely finished, but that's on the list as soon as the weather warms. Honestly, I feel like I've just bought a brand new car at a fraction of the price. Thanks again, Shawn!
