Custom GTU door panel badges

Post by 88_GTU »

It's always irritated me that the early GTs and GTZs were blessed with good ol stamped steel bling on their door panels, but the GTUs were simply given a bowtie....So I had too much time on my hands a few weeks back and started calling pin and lapel companies to see if anyone would be able to help me out. After being politely hung up on a couple times I found someone willing to work with me and here's what came out of it...

I'm very happy with how they turned out. I wanted to keep the same height but with the proper GTU font it obviously grew quite a bit in length. The dual posts were ordered longer than normal size to make sure they clear thru the panel with room to clasp. Unfortunately, to get these made I had to purchase a minimum of 100 pcs, and because of the size also had to pay a pretty penny for the "oversize mold" blah blah blah....
Anyway, figured I'd offer some up to see if there's any fellow GTU owners who feel they need to fix the laziness GM threw at their door panels. I'm asking $30 shipped (in the US) for a pair. If you're outside the US, I'd just have to check on shipping first. Any questions, let me know.
