GI: Beretta GTU
GI: Beretta GTU
This is just to gain interest in selling one of my Beretta's. It's a 89 White GTU that has the monster 2.8L with about 136K miles and it's a factory 5 Speed trans equipped to boot!
Appearance wise, the GTU does need cosmetic work as it has typical rocker rot, but not as severe as I've seen on most Beretta's and it needs work done on the lower quarter panel where the ground effect tail goes up by the rear tire. The front fenders would need to be replaced to be straight again, however, I accumulated some replacements that can go with the GTU and would save the buyer $ and time [they are white as well]. The front valance and spoiler is currently attached to the GTU and it is missing one side gfx iirc [been a while since I went and looked at it]. Interior is a grey incomplete 1990 GTZ interior. Additionally the Beretta needs brake work if you wanted to make it a raw DD, but as it sits, it runs and drives, however, so you would need to have it towed home after purchase.
Car is not by any means perfect, but it is a GTU. I am in no rush to part with it as I've had it for just enough time to not matter if it sells or stays, although I would like to see this GTU restored since it is a vin# GTU Beretta or at the least support another GTU in a recovery.
If I see there are serious buyers, pics would be made available when I am done traveling or atleast when home long enough to take them.
PM me any questions/inquiries related to this thread. Keep any off topic/unrelated discussions and such out of this thread.
Per a member's suggestion, I am going to include the following:
"make an offer privately"(Chad91GTZ, Wed Jun 15, 2011 5:12 pm).

Re: GI: Beretta GTU
You will find out quickly that "auction style" listing like this are frowned upon.
People want to know what you want for it. Or some jackass will respond with "I'll give you $500".
I'll have to look at the pics when I get home. The work computer wont load them. I am in the market for another GTU... but I wanted black.

Re: GI: Beretta GTU
I'm sure your endless charm, detailed pictures, and fair asking price will get you far with the sale of this car....
Re: GI: Beretta GTU
What's wrong with the brakes? I'll give you 600 dollars for it in its current state. I'll pick it up on the way home from Bfest.

I am thinking pointless posts and sarcasm from tire kicking members will do this thread better.Dr. Jones wrote:I'm sure your endless charm, detailed pictures, and fair asking price will get you far with the sale of this car....

Re: GI: Beretta GTU
So the fenders are shot, quarter panel is rusting through, no brakes, and is missing parts and has an incomplete interior and needs paint, and it has rocker rot, which is a 1200 dollar repair no matter how sever it is, and yet you decide not to respond to what I feel was a serious offer. Not trying to be a jack but GLWS I guess.

As for your offer, if I don't respond with a PM in a couple days you will need to PM me.
