i saw a site somewhere and cant recall for the life of me what it was. i think it was a miata forum but i may be wrong. this guy had a program hooked to his car computer and was using his mini laptop mounted to the dash as an instrument panel. it had all the gauges and indicator lights. i'm not sure if the program was custom or how he even had it set up. it looked awesome but is it common or did that guy just have programming and engineer skills?

i'll keep trying to run it down

its easily done. my friend has a rsx with kpro and he does it on his DD pioneer radio.

all you need is some sort of datalogging software and a ecm that supports it and then some way to connect the laptop to a screen.

^Yup theres a guy that made something like this on his z24 with megasquirt but just on a lcd moniter. there is some programming involved not many people will share what they have come up with to get it to work either.
