2.0 at 135, yea, and i bet i can run a 10 second quarter with my 3.1l then, hell, the top speed you can get out of a stock tranny is 130mph, less then that if you really wanna be specific, stop making beretta's sound like junk. go buy a civic!

Wth was the FDR in the '90 GTZ anyhow, can't remember. 3.29 wasn't it? I voted '90 GTZ as the fastest , but before I remembered the FDR's were better in '91 and '92. I would have to say the '92 simply for it's gearing in the tranny.

I disagree
Due to the light weight-a 90 will run with a 92 car. Fastest means top speed.  I think the 90 will win.

Well, I agree with you in theory, but how much weight are we really talking Mike? 20,30 lbs? I think the ideal Beretta, talking stock now with just a STOCK tranny swap would be a '90 GTZ with the '92 GTZ trans.

Actually the weight difference is a lot more-almost 100 pounds.
I weighed my car and a 1992 quasar GTZ at the dump on the same scale-both hardtops with stock wheels.  Not sure if the tires were about the same weight but the quasar was 78 pounds heavier than 90.  I guess the airbag, bigger brakes, more insulation and the newer interior does add up.

Best ET that 92 did was 15.5s back in 1995.  It now runs high 13s at 99MPH.

How much fuel was in both cars respectively? More of a weight difference than I thought.....

Actually, as bad as it sounds, some days I would love to have a mid '90's Geo Metro. 3 cylinder gas mileage kings. Things got in the mid forties for mpg.

90 GTZ has a higher top speed then a 92+ GTZ 90 GTZ is the winner.
