Hey, this is Jim using my son's sn in Nebraska. I had second thoughts on riding it out. Looking at the projected path and strength, I know I made a good choice to come home for a couple of days.
Talk to you guys later.

Yeah Chris, the Indy is safe and sound up here in Nebraska with me. It looks as though I wont be going back for atleast another week or two.
It's pretty bad down there from what I have read and the cell phone calls I have gotten from other co-workers who either rode it out or who have heard from those that had.
All I gotta say is, glad I wasn't there when it hit, and I ain't there now.

Hey Tiff...how was the weather up there on Friday?  I talked to my mother-in-law yesterday...they lost power Friday and she got hers back yesterday afternoon, but my sister-in-law is still without power.  Also, she said the river was WAY up too.    Did you get a crap-load of rain too?
We were under tornado warnings here Friday.  Nothing happened though, but Tom and I went to my parent's house and rode it out in their basement.  We won't have a basement until Wednesday.

Andrea, we got over 10" of rain, everything flooded, whole towns were under water until yesterday afternoon. After I find a place to host my pics, I will post them. The river crested 11 feet over flood stage. Its a mess.

Its so bad here that they cancelled my college classes until next monday.

I am glad you and Tom are safe! You guys need to keep in touch with me!

I rolled into town this afternoon and I am speechless. I have never seen so much destruction in one place.
I'll go around tomorrow and take pics and post them up on the General Section.
The news does not do justice, you have to be here to get the full "emotional" effect.  -Jim
