Re: Project Second Chance - New Stuff PG6!!
well if it's a v6 bar you may not have a problem... I know for a fact that the quad bars don't fit the v6 cars... and with how the lower subframe brace wont even clear a 4t60e, I start to wonder if the FE7 V6 bar will have a similar issue or not, I've never tried it.

Yeah i dont have a lower strut brace on the car yet because of this. I am hoping that an FE7 bar will clear he trans. Just wish i had a bar to play with... Let me know Jon if you think it may go.

Re: Project Second Chance - New Stuff PG6!!
So, since i have this inability to keep things up to date as they happen, heres an update.
I was at the yard last week and got some more stuff from the donor. Sadly, someone had spied the car and ripped the Z04 kit off the car; so no more spoiler or side skirts for me to grab. Mainly, i wanted that rear bumper, but such is life.
In other good news, i did get a bunch more stuff off the car. I found out why its in the yard for starters, its from Wisconsin. Rear shock towers are rusted thru and theres holes in the floor pans. Also explains why the rubbers are good on it. So for the list this time go around: Outside mint dew strips, all door and trunk rubbers, window tracks, door handle mechanism covers, all seat belts, wiper motor, dash cluster cover with switches, back seat/trunk sound deadening materiel and an ebrake handle off a 93 cavalier. All parts mint, minus the seat belts, they need to be cleaned.
Still got alot to do to make the interior look back to normal, but im getting there too. I still need to check on some carpet materiel for the rear deck, either get the head liner or recover my original one, find a dash, and some new carpet. But so far, the back end is looking more normal now...
The car also decided to kill the alternator last week when i drove it to work. Light started flashing and was hoping it was hold out a bit longer, but whatever, its new and now i dont have to worry about it.
And one of the engine, just cause. I still need to do a heavy cleaning on this motor, big time!
I also registered the car last week so its now legal to drive without using someone elses plate and temp tags lol (Arizona law, plate goes with previous owner, not the car, but he didnt take his plate). Im hoping that very soon, i can go back and get the hood from the car. Thats one of the last things besides some interior wiring i plan to grab off the car. After that, shes pretty much stripped. Although, i may remove the rear quarter windows to have as spares since they are nearly immaculate.
More coming, maybe update on drivetrain mod...we'll see....

Yeah. Its very slow progress but its going. Im gonna be driving her everyday much sooner than expected. The GTP needs some work that i cant afford to do right now sadly . So once i button up a couple things on the Beretta, i will be daily driving her for a while

What happend to the GTP? Damn good news on the Beretta though. Always nice to hear that another "saved" Beretta is back from the almost dead.90GTZHO wrote:Yeah. Its very slow progress but its going. Re: Project Second Chance - Update with Pics PG7!!
The GTP needs, i think ive narrowed it down t front wheel hubs (approx .060-.100" play in both sides with tires on) and it despirately needs a timing chain set done. Its rattling way too much.

Actually its not that bad to do on this car. Im just hoping i can do it without having to yank the front lower mount.
