Im closely following this build, you seem to have the spirit to actually get it done! I would love to see it being completed - gonna be amazing. Keep it up.

rear sub frame cross members tacked in, squared up and leveled. now to start making all suspension mounts that attach to the frame.

rear trailing arm brackets fab and tacked in place

***WARNING! WARNING!*** I am about to come across as a complete @$$, and I don't mean to.

This is a very cool project, I have been following it from pretty much the first day of concept (as shared here, at least), and the uniqueness is very impressive, as is the talent being put into the work. But... I really don't get all of the fabricated rear-end stuff -isn't that the point of using the bottom layer of the Camaro? The Pro-Street RWD Beretta I was looking at earlier this year does not have a whole lot done to modify the rear-end of the car, so far as structure is concerned, not on the scale of what you are building there at least, and it holds its' power very well, especially considering the giant meat under the back of that car (power means nothing without traction to put it to the road). This seem like a lot of over-kill to me, and seems like it will add a lot of unnecessary weight to the car. Are you concerned about coping with the added power, or more worried about handling? Again, I am not trying to put this build down at all, you are making gigantic leaps forward on this in a very good direction, I just don't quite get why it is getting both a full-frame rear suspension AND a Camaro under-body...

may i ask where you obtain the motivation and drive to keep up the progress? I need to obtain a lot of it here. !!

The tube chassis may be over kill. During deconstruction. I noticed also some pretty significant rot holes on the rear sub frame rails that pretty much went through the rails and floor. As stated earlier in the thread I needed to get an additional 2 inch added to the wheel base to match the beretta.......so it was either cut and modify and add the 2 inches to all the trailing arms and then relocate the spring and shock and panhard bar and sway bar brackets......or not use the rusty unibody rails and move the whole assembly back as one add-in the length in the tube chassis body rail section. As for the weight im not to worried about it being heavier....alot ot the stock sheet metal is being removed and not going back in. Im sure it will be a lil heavier but I believe the trade off is worth it .....

And no worries. I dont think you are coming across as an ass. There are also of questions about this project I get from my friends and even myself that I cant give a good answer to. There is no right or wrong. To tell the truth im trying to just solve one problem at a time and keep the progress moving. And in terms of where I find this motivation. I really dont know. I just truly enjoy making things and a good challenge. .....so I guess the motivation finds me .
