Regarding tuning... I take no offense because it's very hard to tune through the net and not be hands on with the car... never mind not building it so you honestly don't know what your starting with. It's easy for me to work with Tyler because I know how that is put together...

BUT having Milzy do the tuning... I wish you luck and hope to god it works out.... I have not heard good things come from his shop so I just hope you don't walk into another situation that will just bring this car down even more.
I know they don't have the best reviews but what other choice do I really have right now? If there is another option of some sort I will look into it

They seemed to have done decently so far with Tyler Pitmans 3500 turbo.

None of my built Berettas have a bucket at all, being '89 or '90s (I did the pump on my '95 Z-26 years ago and cannot remember for sure, but I don't think it was bucketed either -and I don't consider that car 'built' as it is essentially a stock 3100 with a modified 3400 intake/TB). My GTU handles extremely well with the piggy-backed FE3/Z51 setup, and it will starve the pump on a long, tight left-hand turn during hard acceleration, even at ~3/4 tank. I don't think the baffling goes up very high in the '89 tank. But it has no feed problems otherwise, and I am running a stock '97 Bonneville SSEi L67 multi-speed pump with the stock pump controller from the Bonneville. I also ran this engine for quite a while on the GTU's original 160k+ mile pump WITHOUT the speed controller with no performance problems, before it finally just wore out.

I have never had a feed problem on my '90 turbo 'Retta either, so I am really thinking that the whole bucket issue should be, well, kicked. :D If you are junk-yarding anyway, maybe you should just try retro-fitting an older style sending unit that isn't bucketed. It might even be worth it if you had to change-out the whole tank, I know some people also like the '90 tank because it is a rust-free plastic... :unknown: Just a thought...

As for the '06 trans, well, it would still drop your RPMs by almost 400 at 70MPH, but probably not really worth the synchro issues and extra work to swap it in, I guess... How much do you want for it?

Have you sold it yet? You also mentioned about parting it out.

Wow... That took a while to hand edit those back in there... But the info is restored and now the thread is locked.
