This is all I got today.... Spent half the day fixing my dads leaking 1929 Model A gas tank... And then as you know I had to clean the block since it didn't get blasted at the machine shop.

I hope to have short block pics tomorrow, MAYBE with paint... Not sure. Gonna do the assy first so I'm not waiting on paint to dry before being able to work.

Pistons and rods all cleaned up and ready to be re-assembled.

They are diamond racing pistons, below is a link that explains the coating, it's a hard face anodizing that pretty much helps decrease piston wear and decrease heat on the piston face

Ran into some issues Monday... The locks that diamond sent out were the wrong size so I couldn't even put the pistons together. Tyler ordered some from Summit for .927 pin's and the same thickness so we should be set there. Also forgot to get a rear main seal so I couldn't even drop the crank in for good...LOL

I am up to my eyeballs getting the roundy round car to the track this year so I wont be touching this till after opening weekend which is well this weekend.... :)

MMMMMMmmmm....coatings.

I bought a few small bottles of tech-line products, but never could get a proper oven setup for the temps needed and gave up. I got CBX Powerkote, and a bottle of dry film lubricant. I was going to rework my 6.2L diesel precombustion chambers, precups, piston tops and bottom end (not all with the little bottles I have, but I wanted to test first).

It'll probably get used for my 4.8 or 6.0L engine, whatever I end up building (4.8L and it's incredibly strong block/bottom end and love for boost are winning so far).

I forgot these also have the dry film coating on the sides i believe

Yes they do, you can see it in the other picture of them sitting on the parts cleaner.

Going to be assembling the Pistons and such tonight. If I get the rear main seal I'll bolt in the crank too.
