Swapped a 3400 over the weekend
I put a 3400 that I bought friday in over the weekend. I didn't get exhaust put on it yet but it drives. I haven't had the chance to take it around the block though and I have to wait until next weekend which sucks! the engine is out of a 01 pontiac montana with 3000 miles on it. heres the link to the pics I posted over on bstuff.

nice job, gives me a few ideas for my next gt. i like it. but one question, i've heard that an allero engine will bolt in to a 3.1 beretta. is there any truth to this? thanx.

Hey daguse, i have a 1990 indy with bum head gaskets
and i am looking to replace the over 200,00 mile motor but 3.1's are hard to find in my area, i have some questions on how to drop the 3400, first can i use the intake form the 3.1? by the way i want the car to appear that it still has the 3.1 motor. i'm only considering the 3400 becouse it is a newer motor, and can be found with a few thousand miles vs. 150,000 and over for the 3.1. next question can i use all my electronics? EX. feul injectors crank sens, and so on and so forth? third how did you fix your exsaust problem? yourself or a muffler shop? forth were there any problems that caused a major headace? any help would be a great help.
