Tyler did a little photo shoot of my salty cracker today, while making sure it's running properly. Before the week is up it'll have a base tune in it to properly recognize the L67 injectors!ImageImageImageImage

Cool spot for photos. Matches the vibe of the car. Makes it look bad ass.

If the rear bumper wasn't that color before the swap then you can clearly see the car is running PIG rich... which is not good for it.

It's a combination of it running rich and how it was before the swap, the old 3400 was having rings issues by the time it bit the dust and had some bad oil blowby. Regardless, I've got the new injector pulse rate set up to program in tonight!

I also forgot to mention that the near stalling at stoplights is now gone, and I didn't do much to change the tune, so it must have been the TCC solenoid causing the issue.

I have a few kinks to work out, but it's nothing major. The TPS has been going out for a long time, so I have an SMP in the mail from RockAuto. It also desperately needed some fresh gas, so I'm running some good gas with a can of Lucas Complete Engine Treatment (Lucas version of Seafoam).

Remember though, TCC doesn't lock up until your in 4th gear so if you were just driving around in lower gears then I still have trouble believing the TCC Was your issue. You had a cam in the other engine... I'm assuming you have the same in this? or no cam at all? If it's a stock camshaft then that's definitely why your stalling issues are gone.

93 octane isn't any gooder than 87 ;) Unless you have 10.5:1 compression.

The cam was transferred over to the new engine, and I actually was driving it at the normal 60 mph cruising speed, so I was definitely in fourth.

And I thought that '89 was gooder and '93 was gooderer! Haha...

New tires have been ordered!

I currently have Continental ContiProContact SSR's which are all season run flat's, and they don't grip worth a crap (never really have), and have flat spots from sitting.

I did lots of research, and I'm going with a budget performance tire this time. I purchased a set of Nankang Noble Sport NS-20's, which are an all season performance tire. The full set is only costing me $267 shipped, which is a win in my book!

This review helped a lot with that decison making too.
