Getting the truck lenses for like an 88 GMC truck from LMC trucks allows to use the factory bulbs so you don't have to mess with the wiring. Just a heads up!

I've been rewired for the 9003's for a few years already, so I'm good haha. I just had to go through and fix all of my ghetto wiring. I really like my little mini bulbs in the low beams on the factory euro lenses too.

The LMC lenses still do look pretty killer on Shawn's old car though! The euro setup does look awesome with those lenses...

Internal rear bar sand blasted and powdercoated, rear axle in the process of being POR-15'd!

I got that motivation today! Switched out my bad fender, finished the headlight wiring and looming, switched the filament bulbs for white LED's for the running lights, and finished POR-15ing the rear axle!

The other fender is finished! Now for all of the little air bubbles to go away...

You can't really see it, but I picked up a new red cone filter as well.

Explain this one to me... With the 90* bend on the back of the stock bulb I was unable to use those with my LMC lights... I had to use the straight 9005/9006 variation... Granted yes I was able to keep the factory plugs, but the bulb itself was different..

I have this style now...

Vs stock

I'll look on my car, but I don't remember having that issue. I may have noticed it when I cut the header panel and made appropriate cuts to compensate for it.

I don't believe it was the header panel that was in the way... I feel like it was the Euro headlight housing itself.

Your right, you have to notch out the euro housing to use the right angle plug. Here's a picture of mine.ImageImageImage

Ok, I'm not going crazy... :)

I also tried the LED lights in my Euro housings... I was far from impressed on the light output from them... Looked cool, but did not provide enough light so that's why I went back to Silverstar bulbs... 9006xs and 9005xs... Not many brands make the XS version.

I have led low beams and they are brighter than my silver stars.

Never said they weren't brighter to they eye... But the light they throw on the road was just not as concentrated as a standard filament bulb... Maybe it was due to the brand I bought and the LED pads were not positioned in the best spot to reflect properly, but all I know is the road is lit up way better with the halogen bulbs in there now.

I'm running Silverstar ZXE's in the low beams, and they're pretty dang bright. I'll stick with them!
