There's an SSZ emblem that looks pretty cool, but it has a chrome lip. It was like a 3yr option on Commodores and Maloos.

Tiff wants a Holden grille on her Cruze now. Should only be a few hunnit... She doesn't ask for much.

I did have to drive through a couple hurricanes I think, but the hail was tiny and didn't hurt anything. Once the truck was done I put it in my old man's garage (its original birthplace) before the 30" of snow came.
Your truck must have a setup similar to mine with the clutch fork inside the bell and the external slave. Man is the NV4500 tranny a beast, cast iron!

Brake testing with the old tires. Didn't measure the first run, but felt it lock them all and stop quickly. Put a chalk mark on the road in front of my dad's house right by a pole and measured out 100ft. I was guessing 125 range. First measured test was about 134 and slideways. Not quite sure why, because the other two were straight. Third one measured 106ft. Much better than I expected. Even if I jumped the brake mark by another 10ft I'm still happy. (Skid started 3ft before my chalk line). Way more brake than the tires. The new Azenis should stop better, but I'm not gonna ruin them right at the beginning.

I'd kinda like to try threshold braking tomorrow and see if I can stop in about the same distance, and see how hard it is to control without ABS. After replaying the video a few times I can see it does lock the rear just before the fronts. Wondering what the threshold would be to lock only rears like Brian mentioned.

Won't do much good when there's already more brake than tire...

Did some more testing and it definitely is more prone to locking the rears.

Nothing a prop valve and some -3AN tees can't fix... Found what I need on Summit. Would like to do that before I swap the new tires on.

Tried to burn the fronts back to round, but clutch dumps just didn't get as much smoke as I wanted.

So I tied it to my truck and made everything disappear...

Loving these new Azenis. Nice and grippy. Going to be a lot of fun at the autocross at Carlisle. Want to run it in the 1/4 too. Maybe finally get my 13-sec slip with some better grip and some better driving. Just really enjoying my summer beater!

And I also "rebuilt" my muffler. Dynomax discontinued the VT and I have always really liked it. But it puked the fiberglass out of it when the internal perf pipe rusted out. So I bought some stainless perforated sheet to make it sort of a "hybrid" chambered/absorption muffler. Has just a little bit of rumble to be recognized as a v6, but at a pretty low volume and no raspy crap. I'm really happy with it.

Finally time for Carlisle pics! Took 5th-worst out of 19 in the Autocross Shootout. But I figure that's not that bad since I was the only car competing with a v6 or a wrong wheel drive. Probably no one else running tires as small as 225s either. haha I got better every lap and I'm sure there was still more left. I guess we'll see next year. Out of the top 5 cars, 4 of them were UMI Performance mules, the winner being a supercharged LS1 Trans Am. Thing was nasty. Second place was actually a Camaro running inferior suspension stuff to what I have in mine! Obviously a good driver behind the wheel though.

Did the burnout contest and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. Couldn't pop the tires before the engine got hot. They were 15s from Shane that still had a ton of tread life left. haha Won't take much of an encore performance to kill em though!

As for the actual show we hung out with Tyler and Bria all weekend. Even met Lou Santiago and Kevin Tetz. Lou said he loves Berettas, and Kevin's Camaro is tits. He twin turboed it now, guessing close to 1000hp.

Tyler won the Beretta/Citation class and got a Celebrity's Choice award. And we found a good hibachi place downtown. I'm telling you guys...great place for a Berettafest!

Camping was awesome this year. I bought a bigger tent and had so much more room for activities! Stuck the queen size air mattress in the middle under a battery fan we hung from the top as our A/C. We got this crap figured out now! #glamping haha

Oh yeah and Carlisle posts their own show photos from their pro photographer too. That's where I got some of the action shots.

Would have been cool to have a Beretta pace car in their display.

I got a bunch more pictures too but it would take forever to post em all.

Passed a buddy on the highway from NastyZ I hadn't seen in forever. He was rocking a 3.3 Grand Prix to the Camaro Nationals. haha
