Gotta find a way to position it so it would be submerged near 99% of the time... Similar to a motorcycle petcock.

with a FULL tank of gas, I turned up the boost to 20PSI last night! It made very impressive HP numbers, but ended with a blown piston. #4 completely lost compression and I had to tow it home. :(
Heres the vid of that run.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9isPCsYGYU

And here is the datalog...

Im just gonna have to rebuild even better!

Wow, am I reading those numbers correctly?!??! 597 HP?? Is that wheel HP or crank HP? Any way you slice it, it's friggin' awesome!!

Sorry to hear about your piston. Sounds like you knew it was coming though from your Q4F thread.

yeah, thats what Megatune calculates the WHP to be. However, I wont say thats absolutely correct until its independantly verified either thru a dyno or 1/4mi trap speed. I dont know the difference between 400 and 600 HP with my butt dyno, all I know was it was insane whatever it was. :) That is also what other folks with 2.0L DSM's with this turbo are getting on Dyno's, and thats also what other folks with Saab 2.3L and this turbo are getting... So, its probably close to accurate, but again, I'll know for sure with trap speed.

Along with a new build, Im going to go ahead and install the "Mapdaddy" 4 bar mapsensor into my megasquirt, and I'll take the boost even higher next time. From what I can tell, I should be able to get away with 27PSI on pump gas, So, I'd like to try it. If other people can do it... well so can I.

Geezux.... :D You'll either make insane amounts of wheel spinning power, or give new meaning to the term "crank walk". ROFL!

I foresee you donating a lot of rods through your block beyond 27 psi past 6500 RPM's.

So far I have ,
1 Completely melted charge pipe coupler.
5 Head Gaskets blown in various ways.
1 set of exploded spider gears...in peices.
1 transmission case half that some of the above set of gears ejected thru.
1 Spark plug with the tip melted/detonated off, ceramic core and all, gone.
No doubt I will be adding a melted forged piston shortly.

A pucked crank shaft and a speed ported block would be nice additions to my wall of shame... like a trophy. :)

Going to need to invest in a study shelf for all those personal achievements.

My God, nice HP numbers but the compression so high is dangerous, seems the right man is attempting the task, and it sounds damn beautiful when accelerating, but this is way beyond my stock n/a q4 90 gtz... this is "nutz" Nice car though really, I wish more people lived in MA that had these cars that could teach me the engine rebuild process
