93 gtz build
93 gtz build
This is the car I saved from a crusher in CA, sat for too many years in my garage after I bought it. I've owned it since April of 2009, have yet to put one mile on it. Finally have time to get busy with working on it so I can enjoy it, 1993 Quaser Quad Blue-on-Blue. I've fixed the pass side water leak, got my new head from scd88ga (thanks again Brett), still have to get the motor back together and then the interior, car came with a new carpet, two sets of seats. It's going to be a ton of work but should be worth it On with the pics

Re: 93 gtz build
Damn!! I'm looking forward to this one. Are those the wheels that came on it or do you have the blue GTZ wheels somewhere?

Those came on the car with good tires, and the blue gtz rims in the trunk.

Nice work! Hope to see more as it goes. Found a GTZ decal if you need one, on ebay. Look in the 3rd party sales section here for the thread.

Nice, I like the color. Looks like you have some meat on those wheels.
Hey that looks more like a 72 than a 77 k-10.

Oh, that's my dads 70 k-10. I tried uploading a pic from my phone but wouldn't work, mine is satin black.

Yup, sat on blocks with no rims and a car cover.3X00-Modified wrote:At least the whole time you had it sitting it was in a garage and stored properly!

Re: 93 gtz build
That's good travel! I always thought 38's were too big to have any. I laugh at those who put tires so big on that end up cutting them on the fenders. My friend in high school had an 80 with rearched one ton springs. They gave it a hell of alot of travel with 33/12.50/15's. Too bad we didn't have any rocks to crawl in the area.
We did have a spot where the dirt bike guys built some mounds so that trucks couldn't go where they did. That 80 made it over easy and we stopped to look on top of the two mounds. It looked like your pic. One tire on a mound in the front and back with the other two on the ground. Sorry no pic, that was many years ago.
Forgot to say those mounds where at the top of a steep hill that was close to a 20* grade at least. You know the kind, you have to look over the hood and then remember where you need to go later. The mounds were on a 90* turn at the top.
