New Z26 Owner

Post by Echoes71 »

Hopefully I have read the instructions correctly and this post will comply with the guidelines. I have had a 1991 Beretta GT since I bought it new in 1991, but have been looking for an Indy Beretta or a Z26 for a while. Well, I struck gold - or dark purple - as the case were, when I found this beauty.

Only 52,722 miles on her when I bought it and as you'll see in the photos, the miles have only gone up a bit - the drive home being the cause of that slight increase. My name is Jeff and I am in Missouri. I came close to buying Rob's Teal Indy but when I saw this Z26 I just couldn't pass it up. If there's such a thing as Beretta Porn... then this is it!!!

Photo 12 shows off one of my passions... that being Pink Floyd... Enjoy... and yes, the miles are real!!!

Thanks! I have more photos, I just didn't realize that five was the limit. But yes, it's a gorgeous car and runs perfectly. I feel very lucky to have found this!

Is that this car? I hope you didn't pay that price. I was in contact with that dealer a few weeks ago, they told me it needed intake gaskets. Did they do the work? Very nice car!
If that link dies, the car was at Uftring Chevrolet in Washington IL. Listed on autotrader for $8990!

That thing looks beautiful. Always thought it would be cool to have a "showroom new" Beretta just to see how they were. By the time I was old enough to drive most of the ones I saw were BEAT.

Yeah, that's the car. And no... after checking the Blue Book price I called them and paid a heckuva lot less than the price they had listed. In a way, that price may have helped me, because I think it scared most people off. As far as the intake gaskets I'll say this... I drove it home from Washington, Illinois to where I live in Missouri, over 350 miles, and drove it yesterday and today, and it's been perfect. Runs great. No problems at all.

I also have a very trusted mechanic that I have been taking my 1991 Beretta GT to for the past 13 years or so, and I'll take it in and have him give it a look over... But I will say this... it runs like a charm and everything is working. I've had more compliments on the car the past two days than one can imagine. Also bought The Club today to give me a little more security when I'm out and about.

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

Thanks! I'll see if I can post five more photos, and to Money Pit Beretta, I got your PM, I just can't respond to it yet. We'll have to get together sometime... a mini Beretta-fest!!! LOL

In the photos where you see the blue towel, it's only there to keep the seat pristine until I get some custom-made seat covers made. I really want to keep this baby looking as good as she looks now. And since I don't put a lot of miles on my car over the course of a year, the miles will stay low.

That has to be one of the cleanest Beretta's I've seen. The interior is immaculate! Congrats on a great looking car man.

Sounds good. We can have a purple Beretta mini meet. You will have to park yours in front of mine if we take photos. Mine is not bad, but it's nowhere near what yours is.
I'll bring you a strut tower bar too(I have a few of them). That is if you don't snag one before we get a chance to get together.
There is a guy in the Metro area with a GTZ. That would make three, but it's not purple.

You should have enough posts now to PM.
