New owner
Hi there
I just bought a 90 Beretta GT 3.1. I've wanted one since I saw them new, but in my country (Denmark) with the car taxes, it was too expensive. I've seen used Berettas for sale occasionally, all with about 150k miles on them, paint flaking, bit of rust etc. But then I saw this unique Beretta, only 40k miles on it. Owned for the period (almost) by an old man, garaged, serviced at auth dealer. He died two years ago at age 93, his son inherited the car, had it garaged and drove it once per month. He let the dealer do the full service and put it up for sale. Buyers were lining up, but I brought money and paperwork, so I got it. And this "old man, always garaged", I have all the paperwork to confirm it, including the orig brochure where he had marked the options he would like . When was the last time you bought a 23 year old car that was fully serviced, had correct tire pressures all around and had a full tank of gas???
It doesn't look new, he must have been a bad driver, because there are scratches on all four corners. But it operates like new, feels like new. Everything works except the rear defogger turns off too early, I've read it's a circuit breaker issue, and the front left speaker is shot.
So now I have great transportation for at least a decade.

Re: New owner
Oh man that is the one thing about old people's cars, they keep them nice but run into things often. A scratch kind of makes me mad, but a dent is another thing.
Very nice looking GT threre! I have alot of respect for those outside of North America that own these cars. The cars were rare when they came out and are even more rare now. Then there is the nasty high cost of owning them.

Welcome! Story sounds very similar to when I bought mine. You will love the car. Once you own one you understand the addiction.

Re: New owner
Welcome to being a Beretta owner!!! I had a 1991 GT {Black} for 21 1/2 years... then in March found a 1995 Z26, dark purple, with only 52,722 miles on it. I know the feeling!!! The one previous owner took exceptional care of mine as there are no scratches or things he "ran into," and it looks show-room new.No Quarter wrote:Thanks for the welcome
Great feeling, yes? Congrats!!!

Amazing find!
Low mileage cars are even more rare in Europe because taxing\insurance\inspection costs make sure than one can rarely own more than one vehicle..

Congrats on finding your gem! Nice looking car, too. I have three 1990 Berettas, hmmm, must be addictive all right. I like '90 the best, don't know why... 3.1 option, old-style interior, first year for GTZ, only year for the Indys (two of my '90 Berettas are Indys), I don't know, probably just my first Beretta (the non-Indy '90) is a 1990...

Re: New owner
I'm looking to convert orig steering wheel to a leather if that existed and I need a new front speaker. On my other cars ebay have all I need, but there seems to be less Beretta parts on ebay. Where should I shop for used Beretta parts? And new ones for that matter?
