Vehicle maintance program
I was wondering if anyone has a program they use to document work done on their cars and/or trucks. I use a system at work that allows me to look up when work was done last and such. It has an area to write in what was done in detail and prices. I would like to do this at home but their system is MS-DOS setup and also I can't get it. I work on peoples car a lot so it would be nice to keep a record of it.

Excel spread sheet. Can search it, can adjust it easily, and it a common program that is compatible across multiple OS's.

Re: Vehicle maintance program
I am old-school. When I have the time, I try to document maintenance in a book for each car (I have a LOT of cars, so it is important to keep track). I printed up a bunch of 'squawk sheets' -like used in General Aviation- specific to each vehicle, with check-boxes denoting if the issue is cosmetic, maintenance, driveability related, or critical (like -wheel is falling off, do not drive! Which, has never happened to me ...). I think Excel is probably the best way, combined with 'squawk sheets' in the car to note any issues that come up while driving. I think I might create a spreadsheet for this soon in fact, it is a good idea.
