Touch up paint for my white GTZ

Post by GT_Indy »

My white 1990 Beretta GTZ
I am looking for touch up paint.

My sticker says:
BASE/CLEAR COAT-ENAM WA-L8554 U8554 82G

I tried NAPA and they cannot find it, the chevy dealer said they do not cary it anymore.

If someone knows where I can find it I need to buy some. I have 2 small spots that need touched up.

Thanks.
I'll give it a try.

Is this the same thing?

that duplicolor will work fine ! That white color has been on a number of cars even very recent cars. shocking the dealer wouldn't bring you one in.

since it has the same 8554 number, I'd say yes. Your car has base coat and clear coat. The 8554 is the base color and the other number on your sticker
is the clear coat. The spray requires a clear coat over it to make it last. The touch up applicator is probably and one step paint so no clear coat is needed.

Thats good to know.
I'm just now getting I to paints and I'm starting from scratch.
I got an etching primer for the two small spots where it flaked down to the existing primer.

In my garage I have an old can for my 1993 Beretta WHITE GTZ. I will post the code off of it tomorrow.

ok.
Lessee here, May, June, July... Yep, that's dedication! One-Post Wonders...

My '89 GTU is only a single-stage, I am actually surprised yours was clear-coated... GM was pretty good at their white shading though, I've matched mine perfectly to everything from a Z-34 Lumina to a fourth-gen Firebird -white and red are the two hardest colors to match right because of shade (and warmth) differences.

I believe it. There are lots of different shades of white that I found, I hope the ones mentioned above are a direct match.
