What is my husband's Beretta worth?

Post by saravmf »

My husband loves his Beretta but he was in a car accident (in a different car) and can't clinb in and out of his anymore. He asked me to sell it for him. I cannot seem to find any for sale to compare the price, so was wondering if you can tell me what it's worth. It's a 1996 Z26 and has 180 kms. It's red and has had a bunch of work done on it recently, so runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

Pictures and location would be helpful. List of recent work would also help.

Ditto on pics and more description. Underside rust is critical. If it's really clean, could be worth 3-4000 dollars, maybe more.
180 KMS? maybe you mean 180,000 which might be 111,000 miles?
It sounds like you are not in the US.

wow I didn't realize there were so few Beretta's listed for sale anymore.

Most of the ones listed were pretty beat up for 1K or less. I linked some of the better ones below.
I remember seeing a GTU and a GTZ that were both for sale for over 4k not long ago from 2 different owners. I cannot seem to find those ads, they were under 100K miles and very clean. There was also a very nice Z26 listed for a descent amount of money as well which seems to have sold as well.

Depends on the condition of your vehicle and what you are willing to get out of it, how long you are willing to hold onto the car till someone buys it, etc.
Whenever I sold a Beretta I always had better luck listing them as a clean and reliable daily driver with a list of its latest maintenance. I noticed these cars are worth more as basic transportation to most people in the open market. I never had luck selling them as parts cars either, they just sat with no replies, so I just sent them directly to metal scrap / recycling, some people weren't happy about it when they found out but it was easier for me because I also wanted the space.

Autotrader charges to place an ad, and there is no guarantee it will sell. Cars.com I've been able to list cars for free. Craigslist can list cars free as well. There was a Canada specific website that can list vehicles but I don't know if its free or not.

I managed to find a few on autotrader:

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... de1=BERETT

I also found a few on craigslist:
