I am new to these forums, and finally was given permission to post. Anyways, I just got a 1996 Beretta Z26 for $800. Its white and has a beautiful purple and green Z26 sticker on the side. I came here to see what kind of info I could get about this car and see what I can do to it

Hey, I will get pics this weekend, when I go to work on it.

I can give you guys some info on it though haha.

I got it from some lady in the middle of nowhere. It had been sitting for a while and came with free wasps and a pet mouse:D It originally had a beautiful green slime on it(something you would see on the muk monster) and so we took it and pressure washed it. Almost everything came off

We then took out all the seats and carpet. Scrubed the carpet down, and have been waiting for it to dry. Next step is to put carpet back in, replace the brake lines, change the oil and air filters and we should be set

Any rust or dents? Yea, I had a nest in my air cleaner box, but no free mouse.  The little guy did munch on the plug wires though.

Yeah, I had a nest in mine aswell. We did everything. The only thing we need to do now, is get my liscense, get it ensured, get a flasher for the turning singals, bleed the breaks again, and we are set for inspection.

It did have a leak right in front of the drivers side, where the connects to the frame, the was a few leaks there that led into the car, so we put some rubberized undercoating on it and it sealed it right up.

Keep an eye on that undercoating, it can crack over time and start leaking again.

Thanks for the heads up, I will make sure to check it out from time to time.

You guys got any good tips, to make this thing sound nicer. I mean my friend from work has an 08' Tiburon with a cold air intake, and it sounds amazing. SO I have to beat him.... clearly.... that is my only option.

Yes, a good CAI would help and fastlane02 is building a shop and plans to sell cat backs and headers. That should help your car sound and run much better.

Hope he gets the site up soon, my exhaust is trashed. Look for it in the Performance Mods area, under" New shop being built", page four has a link.
