I think I've proved whats possible with a stock OBDII system...

OBD1 and OBD2 are both plenty capable. And I'm excited to see how the Accel DFI aftermarket ECM works.

I did about 8 hours of wiring this weekend. I can turn the key and the engine cranks! Headlights work tails, brake, turn, etc. Still need to wire up power windows.

MS harness is almost complete. Got a few wires remaining and lots of looming to clean it up a bit.

I found my fuel pump. Does anyone know how the stock fuel pump algorithim works? Is it a 5 sec prime when key on, then steady prime during cranking and running? Ill make the MS do something similar.

Im going to split the megasquirt open this weekend and internally re-do it. I have a lot of things to add like fuel pump, rad fan, IAC, different ignition control, etc. Its a lot for my older MS 2.2 to handle but its possible.

Im going to order some -AN fitting this week to finish up the fuel system. I plan to start this car up next weekend. Maybe ill post a video.

Run PTFE AN lines. The rubber core braided stainless is junk. The PTFE hose end fittings and stuff cost more but they are worth it.

Maybe next time! Im getting out of AN right at the tank so it will be 3/8" hose barb all the way from tank to pump to filter to motor. Its cheap and flexible as my setup will probably change a few times.

Well moving would require me to ghetto fab a quick driveshaft and put some brake fluid in it. Very possible but not really my goal this weekend. Theres still TONS of little things like fuel cell mounting, battery mounting, finishing the trunk, getting a real driveshaft made, finishing the exhaust, etc.

But it will be nice to be able to drive it in and out of the garage, because pushing a car with a welded diff and loose front wheel bearings is quite a task

Got some work done last night. Fuel pump mounted. Some plumbing done. An fittings on tank adapted to barbs. Fuel pump relay and wiring complete. Hooked the megasquirt up to the car and computer and I'm reading all sensors everything looks good.

i like this, i am not much for non-oem cars but i do like the idea of burning the living crap out of this around a track

Don't forget that strut mount nut Barry. Or are you waiting to put a STB on?

I'm not using any of the stock front suspension minus the arms and subframes. 240sx Coilovers up front and aluminum knuckles I hope
