Hey guys,
I've finally heard back from our prototype Quad 4 intake tester.  Here's what he had to say.

"Franz,
Can not believe that such a small mod can make that many improvements.
Noticably different. It pulls more through all rpms. Cruising on the highway around 110, it seems to need about half the throttle to go that it used to use.
My biggest pet pieve was when I took my foot of the gas after accelerating and having the car buck forward between gears or just when you let your foot off the gas, that is now smooth - but you can hear it sucking air (which is what it is there for!&#33.
Can't forget about when it is time to
shut the car off, that sure makes for some looks, I just tell anyone that asks that it is supercharged. LOL.
I would recommend this product (except for the blue silicon hose (ha,ha)."

So it sounds good thus far, but because it's such a tight fit, I want to make sure there's no issues with engine rocking and bending the intake, or damaging anything else that it's close to.
And this was tested on a standard.  I have no idea yet if it'll fit the automatics.   The reason I mention this is because it pushes right against the transmission after coming off the TB.  The auto may be different, and require a different set up.
And the blue silicon hose that Chris mentioned is because we didn't have any red in stock to match his car.   This will be supplied in your choice of red, blue or yellow when we make these kits available.
And the noise he mentions is a very cool sounding "Pssh" type sound when he shuts off the car now.
I'll try and post some pictures shortly.

You don't have to worry about the intake piping hitting the auto trannies Franz... all GTZ's that have the HO Quad 4 are manuals, they never got an automatic mated to the Quad in a Beretta

Looks nice though!

Hey Franz!  Good job w/ the intakes!  I was wondering, do your CAIs work on the 3.1 Berettas?  That'll be the first mod on my Z, so i'm excited

thanks for any info, franz, or anyone else who answers this?

Sorry, but not yet.  We're working on one for the V6 Berettas.  I know we can do it for the 94 and up 3100s, but the older V6 presents more problems.
I have a guy near by that's willing to work on one with me, but he's got a 5 speed, so can't promise it'll work on the auto.
I'll let you guys know.

Hrmmm...  Well, I'm willing to buy a battery relocation kit (was gonna do that anyway) so if that helps at all, lemme know
thanks, Franz, I'm glad you're at least makin an effort to support our tiny aftermarket

Looks good and you got to tackle one of the harder years with the AC parts down on the driver side.  The 92-93 doesn't have that there.

Hey guys,
Nice to see the interest in the intakes.
I had some concerns about the intake on the Quad being such a tight fit, so I asked Chris about some things.
He says he can hear it scraping when the engine moves, and recommended going with a 2.5" pipe.  I'm not sure if this will work because the piece of rubber with the sharp bend turning down off the TB is a 3" part.
I'm going to look into this more, and see if I can find other parts to make this work better still.
As far as pricing goes,  we'll be looking at roughly $170 US.
And for the 3100, I just need a test car.  I know a customer of ming put one of our intakes on a 3100 Corsica, so I know it can be done.
I'll let you guys know on my progress.

Awww, mantapart's is only $5 more. Tried tested and true. Oh well I was hoping for a more economical price range.
