How many o2 sensors

Post by Guest »

I have heard of some cars having 2 O2 sensors.  How many does mine have?  I need to know since i will be changing mine this weekend.  Anyone know anything else mechanical that would be causing me to get 13.4mpg (avg.) on my Z26?

How many o2 sensors

If you have OBDII then you have two. One in the rear exhaust manifold and one in front of the converter.

I'm not sure about OBDI, sorry. I think those only have one.

Yep, OBD II has two O2 sensors. One in the manifold and one before the CAT. OBD I only has the one in the manifold. Btw, O2 sensors are EXPENSIVE! Go to AutoZone because that's the cheapest place I found. It's like upwards of $75 for the 2nd one and it's little cheaper for the 1st one in the manifold. Needless to say, they're not cheap. And while you're at Autozone, pick up the special socket, you're going to need it... Good luck!
