Muncie transmission

i'm planning on builting up my motor in the near future and i was just wondering how much horsepower will the the muncie 5 speed tranny handle before it blows a apart. my car is going to be pushing around 300hp when i'm done. i was also wondering if i do have to replace the transmission what tranny will bolt up to the 2.8 that can handle 300hp the getrag tranny???

Its really up to you, Fiero guys bolt up(witih bell housing adapter) Chevy V8's to getrag muncies all the time. You could even get your clutch from Archie.

yes i am planning on FI. My friends dad can get me a supercharger for my car and her can also get me a 2.8/3.1 performance motor rebuild kit.
