Ecm and prom questions

I'm using a harness and ECM from a 92 Corsica 3.1 for an engine swap. I think the ECM may be for an automatic transmission and I need a manual transmission.
The numbers on the ECM sticker are:

01227730     BAUC
866261 M210344159
16176261     BAUC

The VIN on the donor car is: 1G1LT53T0NY257555

Is this for an automatic?
Is the auto vs manual ECM the same (except for the PROM)?
I'm going to get a custom PROM for this swap, but they want the "BAUC" letters for the chip. Do these letters identify the PROM as an AT? What letters will I use for a manual transmission?

Thanks for the help.

you could run your vin number through www.carfax.com and find out everthing about the donor car. including whether is auto or manual. 14.99 i believe.

yes, the auto and the manual use the same ecu, but the actual prom determines whether it is used for an auto or a manual.  so if someone with that exact year, engine, and 5 speed would be kind enough to look at their eprom and give you the number from it, you will be all set.

I know that BAUB, BFAU, BABN, are for the 3.1 auto tranny, if its from a corscia the likely hood is very likely that its from an auto also. You can get a custom memcal burnt by ben who runs the 60degreev6.com site.
