Anyway, the front mount on the 3.1 is the one that usually goes bad.  However after I install this mount I will have to check it again.  My mount costs $35 on discount from GM.  Yours is NOT the same.  My mount which is located under the water pump is the counterpart basically of your mount which is located next to your accesories belt.  I can't remember exactly what it looks like.  It's pretty much, under and to the left of your power steering pump if I remember correctly.

I'll get a part # and GM list for you, be back in a minute.

They changed the motor mounts in 92 I believe, so your Z would be different than his Indy.

GM Part #: 22146738
List: $170.00

I should start composing a list of part numbers. ÂÂÂ

He said that's the whole assembly, might I suggest Autozone?

Oh I looked at it and it's definately the front mount. I just uploaded that video too, you can definately tell. You'd think I would've figured that out already, lol.

filter (and motor mount that's shot)

you probably need a torque strut. I just replaced mine. $32 at autozone.  Oil leaks make them fail prematurely. or you can spend $80 and get a poly one from ffp

I bought my mounts (both: front/back) at autozone for under $30.00 for the front and around $15.00 for back with a lifetime warrenty.  I have the 1988 mounts, although I took out the A/C unit on all the bases not the GTU.   ;)

hey, i've got a 93' 3.1 with really bad torque steer (pulls to the passenger side/ right under hard acceleration). It clicks and clunks some as well. I know i need mounts of some kind. Can someone tell me how many mounts this model has, and more importantly, where the hell are they!? i found a front right engine mount and a torque strut mount at rockauto.com. What is a torque strut mount? sounds like either or these mounts may be my problem.

What makes you say it's a torque strut? And if it is, do I still need the motor mount? Are there any specialty tools I'd need to borrow from a shop to get it done?

I'm done, finally, after 4 hours! ÂÂÂ I could not get access to that bottom bolt, the secret is.... ÂÂÂ remove the square plastic piece under the a/c compressor and use a long extension, it lines up perfect!

Sweet deal Jason, I might not even have to replace my mount. The dude at Napa (as well as Steph) thinks it's the torque strut after I described it to him. The problem is he also thinks my noise is a ball joint. He also thinks the reason it isn't handling the best are my struts. So I guess I have some more work to do.

I feel your pain, believe me!  After I fixed that mount my car still clicks, I think I have a sticky caliper, I'm losing coolant somewhere, the rear motor mount is probably bad, and I have a clicking caliper.  Even with all that, I wouldn't trade you - struts are a pain...

Check your oil and smell the exhaust...  Didn't you rebuild that motor?

Nope, I think the problem is, when I put on the new pump I lost a screw....  I used lots of rtv, but I guess it didn't work.

Check sway bar bushings and links. I replaced my whole front end and it still clunks when I steer hard just like your does jason so do check those.

I ordered new bushings for my swaybay one time and they sent me the wrong ones, I don't think FE7 bushings are still available.  My whole front suspension is new except control arms, control arm bushings, and Swaybar Bushings.  For now I'm putting off the mount until I get my coolant to stop leaking.
