He has a Zed so it should be 2.97

You have a PM Zach
And yes, it should be a 2.97, as it is the original tranny.

my car just turned 60K miles. has had a new water pump 2 years ago. new alternator in dec. and the tranny is going to go out any day now.

I have a 125,xxx on my 95 3100 base. Only things I replaced was the alternator and radiator. Tranny runs great and I beat the crap out of it every weekend at street races. My suggestion is get some slick 50 trans treatment and engine treatment right when you buy it. The stuff works wonders.
