What dimension K&N fits in the fenderwell?

Got a 94 3100, what size K&N fits in the fenderwell? Is it the straight round, or tapered cone style? What length? 7"? 9"? What size opening? 3" 3.25"? I ask that because I'm going to use PVC, which is measured in ID, then I'll need something bigger than 3" to slip over it right?

I found a site that gave a part number, but it doesn't exsist according to K&N. So in addition to a p/n, dimensions would be great.

I know there's people who have done it, so help me out here!!!

EDIT: for some reason when I submited it deleted some of my post??

Yes, I'm interested. Does it have any damage to it? (screen mesh dented/broke anywhere?) How much do you want for it shipped to 65101?

Measurements if you could please!

1 Small end diameter.
2 Large end diameter.
3 Coupler inner diameter.
4 Length.
5 Part number if there is one on it...

If it's a good deal I'll take my fender lining off tonight and guess what I have to work with, and hopefully take it off your hands! It does come with the clamp on the coupler right? Don't know what I asked that.

I have a 5" K&N or so, I got for 20 shipped back in the day, but bigger is better. I'm sure the 5" would fit, but I'm *thinking* I remember McGavin had a 7" or even larger in there. I think he even had a 9" and that most people at the time could only fit a 7". But if GTP's go with 7" then that's fine for my lowly 3100....

Im sure your 5" would be fine.  Some of the problem areas are the outlet for the washer pump and the distance between the pump and the fender liner.  I have a 3" OD intake tube with an AEM dryflow filter and its very tight.

some mesh is slightly bent, but I assume you could bend most back straight...not broke, and nothing affecting performance of it.

1-approx.3.5"
2-approx. 4.75"
3-3.5"
4-filter-7" add another .5" for the coupler on the end.
5-RU-3130 Thats p/n on box...

Yes, has clamp on the end, comes in box, with "don't throw away" sticker...lol

Shoot me an offer...I guess shipping will be about 8 bucks.

93: Didn't make it to the garage tonight. I will tommorow, as I'm replacing my O2 sensor. I'll check the space I have in my fender, then get back to ya with an offer.

irocz, my 5" has too small of a ID coupler to use with 3" pvc. I have some clear acrylic tube on it but it's deformed from the heat now as it's a HAI. I plan to put it through the hole behind the battery.

Took my splash gaurd out and put my filter in there. It will be a tight fit, I roughly measured (after I put the filter back on my engine) the diameter of the large part and got like 6" or so. That's what makes it a tight fit.

It seems the length is there, if at the right angle, but the width of the large part would be the problem. But you'rs is smaller than mine on the wide part. I need to do a little thinking and I'll PM you tommorow. (need to measure mine off the car to get accurate numbers then figure it out from there).

I'm thinking your's might fit better than mine at least width wise.
