Quote (GtZ @ Jan. 10 2004,22:44)Could you please post some pics of where the air filter is actually placed in the bumper?  For the 3100s.
Check out the intake pictures again -- I've added pics to both of them showing filter locations.

What intake system do you have? It's not one of mine

So wait.... I have a 1995 Z26. Only 'some' 1995 Z26's are OBD-II?
Stencil- What are the chances of you making a CAI for the OBD-IIs?

Quote (MagnumX @ Jan. 12 2004,01:03)Same here, difference is, my beretta's a 96 Z26. I have the MAF sensor, and a sensor on the air filter lid.
What can I do besides installing the 3100 kit with modifying the pipe for the MAF? Where am I going to be able to connect the Air Filter Lid sensor?
what i did with my sensor was relocate it to right beside my headlight but im gona drill a hole in my indake and just install it in the new CAI i dont know how well it will work but its worth a shot

The only thing I need to make an OBD-II intake is an MAF Sensor so I can get the piping length's correct.  I've been trying to get several people in the Colorado area to come down and let me get it made, but so far no takers.
So, if anyone has a spare MAF they wanna loan me, I can get an OBD-II intake system whipped out this weekend
Also, one other "benifit" from these intake systems I've seen is that the intake piping, TB and upper plenum tempuratures have been reduced DRAMATICALLY. I drove my 89 GT for 62 miles strait the other day, and when I stopped to get gas I popped the hood to check the oil and the intake piping and throttle body were COLD AS ICE. The upper plenum was a warm, but I could easily touch it (it wasn't the "fry eggs on me" warm that it usually is). I'm going to grab some under-hood temp figures this weekend and see how they compair, but I'd guess atleast a 30-40degree difference.

I hope it's not cold where you live, otherwise your going to have some serious problems with that battery relocation -- I know 3 people that have done it up here, and ALL of them have starting issues when it's cold out..
FYI, you have an IAT sensor, not MAF.

I need to go take a quick look under my hood to check if my car has an MAF. What does it look like? It's right between the throttle body and air intake piping right?
Edit: And I'd say that if I don't have an MAF which I'm told I probably don't then I'd say that there's a 95% chance of me buying you CAI.
