Just wondering whats the best way yo go for a CAI. I own a Quad 4.

Im not sure but tranzgenic may make an intake for it. If so, that would be best.

Yes, it goes down by the tire, but the stock splash shield goes in between the filter and the tire so you're not getting a bunch of crud in the filter.  It's very well designed.

The topic that is pinned at the top of the Intakes section (about the "New company") should answer most of your questions about benefits, etc.  Then it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.

could someone tell me where i could look for one for my 89 gtu 2.8 i have been looking all over and can not find nothing at all not even the3rd light for my bracks onlyy thing i know is that it takes two of them but do not know the size and there was no bulbs in there for me to take with me any help would kick well u know

Actually there's a topic going on in the Performance Mods section about cold air intakes that applies to your '89 GTU also.  You can find it here.  I looked for quite a while last night for the spoiler bulb number you need, but no luck.  If it's the same as the GT spoiler, it's an 891.  If it's the same as the luggage rack, it's a 577.  I don't have my '89 owner's manual anymore....it may have listed it (maybe).  I'd hate to see you put the wrong bulb in and melt that rare GTU lens, you know?
