So im changing a few things... heres the little intake i pieced together...

Im thinking about putting the battery in the trunk and moving it there or actually making it a cold air setup and directing it down to the bumper...

i definitly felt a little increase and it seems a little more responsive...the motor sounds totally different

Im also gonna get rid of that fart cannon and going to weld in  a flowmaster 40 with dual tips and im getting rid of the cat...

But my main question here is what did the sensor in the box do? obviously its unplugged and it seems to still run the same..

Also the new stuff has let me know my motor is really dirty so im gonna change that, i want to polish the intake and paint it maybe, should i polish the valve covers or paint them....whats the best way to polish the valvecovers/intake? any way heres the pics,,,,the rust is from the water pump and a hose leaking at the same time i need to clean that too

Ill post a pic when im done with the exhaust

that um sensor, thats the plug for the mass air flow, just put it down under the bumper or somwhere it can detect air coming in.....

Well if its "SOOOOOO ******* important"  why does it not affect the way it runs?

It's not all that important.

Mine is sitting down behind the battery I think.

I'd have to look.

Still ran mid 14's without any problem.

So should i take the sensor and plug it in and route it somewhere else and just stick it there? because right now its unplugged and just dangeling, i could take some wire and make it longer and mount it in the bumper somewhere.....

It won't make any difference.

Those things are notoriously inaccurate.

There is actually quite a well written write-up on those stupid things on 60*V6.com

well, from what i've heard, yes that's the Air intake sensor. It measures the temperature and barometric pressure of the air going into the engine. If i remember correctly. I have a 96 and mine ran like S**t without it. Try unplugging that sensor while it's running and tell me it doesn't matter lol. so i drilled a hole in my intake tube, wrapped a couple strips of electrical tape around the plastic area on the Sensor, not to cover up the sensor but to make it fit in the hole lol, and than i pushed it in there and made sure it was snug. It worked real well for me. I see that you have scepter products also, thats what i have. The pipes are thin metal sheats covered in plastic with a chrome film over them. They serve their purpose well. Just if you do decide to do what i did, keep drilling till you get through into the tube

haha yah cheapo ****. but its better then that stock restrictive system

Ive decided to stick with the 2.8 and boost the hell out of it too.. so a turbo/intercooler will be coming shortly after the cam and intake/head work....But heres the exhaust, i still need to delete the cat but it sounds SSSOOOO much better.

Original 2 chamber 40 2 1/2 in/out

I think its perfect has a great rumbly idle and alot quieter then the cannon

My girls friend actully believed it was a v8 HA

Told ya...backyard customz haha

I do have a nice flipdown hood but its tight under there

Looks and sounds SO much better

is that a cinder block under your car, if so, you should be shot, that car could have came down on your head, are you that f-ing retarted? jack stands are only like 15 bucks, for that price, your life isnt worth it, is it? go get a set of jackstands and use your f-ing head, if i would have seen you doing that, i would have gave you a swift kick in the ***, you know that? ever see what happens to a cinder block when i breaks, it just crumbles, you got lucky with that, dont do it ever again....

btw, i like your wheels.

The IAT does help some on the A/F trim and timing. You can put it in a colder area and get some HP, but from what I have read you may have less HP over the powerband. It's almost like you put a carb on if you do that, sure it will run and may run well on the right day. In the place that it should be it will help the engine run almost the same day to day, good or bad weather(and pressure). On boost it should be placed after the compressor. Mass Air Flow is the best, but you are stuck with what you have. I wish Tranzgenic was still around, that thing was great(I had one, they were the best for the 3.1 and 2.8).

And yah now that i look back it was pretty stupid that i used that block, its sad the stang has both my sets right now

I like the wheels too i fell in love with em when i first saw em i knew they were gonna look good on the beretta, sad i dont know the make but ill find out for ya.  it needs some suspension too i suppose, and lowered an inch or two

I got it from an autozone...

I went to a few places before i found it, i knew i wanted SOMETHING like that and then i finnally found one...I remember seeing an exhaust tip like that on a GTI once and said "damn that looks good" It was a borla catback and i guess the tip was from borla too but i bet this ones cheaper

I had to tilt it a little before i could tack it up but overall its a nice fit...You cant even see the exhaust from the side untill the tip drops down i love it

Theres 3 screw holes in it but i welded em up I think it was 20 bucks for it..
