Intake Manifold Bolts

Are the bolts that go thru the UIM the same length and thickness across all V6 60* intakes? I know the threads haven't changed, but I am curious to know about the length.

Hell I think I used my 3100 bolts on the upper when I did the intake swap. For sure I still have a few bolts that came with 3400 upper.

Yeah I know. Hey, if you want me to double check I can try. May have to dig around for the other 3100 small port upper bolts. I know where the old intakes are, I would think the extra bolts would be in that box.

I will also post without actually quite answering your question.

On my '90 Turbo with the LG5 top-end, which uses the same bolts as the 3.1 LH0 MPFI, I used Fiero 2.8L V-6 manifold bolts -those were about 5mm longer than the ones they replaced. I used them because they are chrome 12-point bolts and looked really cool in my flat-black upper manifold, despite having to use doubled-up washers under them.

I used stainless steel Allen-head bolts when I replaced the 3100 "M" manifold on my '95 Z-26 and upgraded to the 3400 "E" intake. I don't recall the length of them (I want to say 30mm length though), but they were all the same as each other. I also used them on the thermostat housing on that engine, which actually makes removal of the housing easier due to the extra clearance I DON'T need for an actual 13mm socket, and I want to say that I was able to change out the t-stat without removing anything else from the engine the last time...

Was this just a rhetorical question for curiosity's sake, or are you working on something specific?

I had an intake that contained just a couple of longer pieces of hardware than an intake of same design. Probably a "repair" job done well enough to not pay much attention to at removal. Now that the lower intake is long gone, I have no way to know.
