I never had a facebook until Bstuff died. The only reason I have a facebook is for the Beretta group on there.. I sort of miss not having a FB though..

Crapface is good for the drama of two sided faced people. It amazes me what I read for what people will post. I know they would never say what they post to someone in real life

Exactly. I don't care to put every single detail of my personal life out there for everybody to see.

I also made a facebook just for the beretta group. You're not the only one. Not a fan of all that garbage. As for the fourm activity, It comes and goes, just be glad it's still here! I know I am!

I have the CorvetteForum page "liked" on my facebook just because I like Corvettes..

The Moderator of that page posts a link to the active topics all the time.

If we did that with our few active topics at the moment (maybe like Asylums new build topic) maybe posts would start coming into the forum more often.
That is a really good idea.

You guys can post links all day long, it doesn't have to be a Mod. One man, myself actually, can only do so much.
HOWEVER, don't go turning the FB page into a repository of links to this site. I'm sure you can all realize what a hot topic over here and what's not.

And if you have any ideas on how to keep linking the two entities just let me know! I'd LOVE to hear them.

I was talking about somebody making a Beretta.Net page on facebook. You know, a page people go and like not a group. Then post the active topics, interesting pics, interesting tid bits and stuff like that. Maybe even have a monthly article about Beretta tech. Have a post about the Bnet COTM ..

Bro, thats what this site is, and does. I don't think anyone other than us Beretta guys would pay mind to it, notice it, or even like it! These are not Hondas! Shame, but that's our world. This site is more active now that you have been updating your build! Weba has nice thread about his Beretta history! Jon, he has epic builds once a year, and pinky in his garage! Woodys' SS has made strides, crap! We're all still here man, that's all we can really ask for, right? I still daily drive mine, but I probably wouldn't if not for this site. Nah, I still would!

X2 on that! I do love my Berettas, both working on them (although my '90 Turbo 'Retta is pushing that boundary right now :x ) and driving them, but without the sense of community I found with bstuff and later here, I don't know if I would really be quite the Beretta enthusiast I am. :pardon: As for Face-It, well, whatever. No thanks. I'll just stay here, Cheers!

I can't see how Facebook could replace any forum functionality, Everything you post there disappears to never been seen or found again, just in couple days.

I think FB is more like for random chat and thoughts..

I agree.

That's why I was saying maybe a Beretta.net page might help. Anytime anybody clicked a link posted it would be directly to this site.. might help bring more traffic to the site. It could go either way though.. you never know.
