One more....

Post by quad4berettagtz »

No, not another car... Amanda and I are expecting another baby! :Yahoo!: We are due oct. 24th, so she won't be too uncomfortable at Bfest this year! With that, anyone want my Corsica for $500? :runsies: I'll be needing a van before next winter! NOT a minivan, as I've been looking into Astro's. I need tow power afterall! :good:

Any info on the Corsica? Where are you located?

Just so you know an astro is a minivan.
The Chevrolet Astro was a rear-wheel drive minivan introduced by Chevrolet in 1985 to rival domestic (American) competitors the Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager twins and the Japanese Toyota Van. Also sharing the Astro's platform was its sibling, the GMC Safari. In addition to standard passenger uses, the vans were also available as cargo vans, and converters used them as the basis for small conversion vans.

His profile says greenbay, WI.

Also note, you can get Astro/Safari's in an All Wheel Drive platform as well.

I see an Astro as something between a boy and a man- not a FWD minivan, but not yet fully grown to a full size, V8 RWD van. It will quench my family's thirst for more room, without critically damaging my masculinity. Amanda hates driving anything other than cars- so I'll be the pilot of this new ship. Anyway, I doubt you'll be willing to come to WI for the corsica... you'd spend more on gas than its worth! But if anyone in the area wants a good DD- it has been faithful for a long time (had it since '01).

I agree with you on that. If I found the right one at the right price I would sell my voyager for one. Unfortunately when I was looking at vans there were no decent Astro's for sale.

Just ask brad about the sweet AWD Astro's drifting abilities. That and I still wish I could be cruising my parents old astro.

I'll drift anything in the snow... 8) don't think I even want to imagine drifting a tall van like that on dry pavement!

I realize I'm quite a bit behind, but Congrats Mike and Amanda!

Yeah Crystal wanted a Montana too, unitl I saw a couple wrecked in the yards. Not buying her one of those. We'll probably get and Astro too eventually, I need something that can haul more than the Monte Carlo. How much can the 4.3 astro's tow anyway? I need a tow vehicle for the Camaro next year, but I don't feel like trashing a trans to do it.

The 4.3 has lots of power but the 700R4 may be suspect!

And congrats Mike and Amanda!!
