HIDs do not need projectors. They need enclosures that are properly designed for their light output, projector or reflective.. There are TONS of vehicles on the road with factory HIDs that do not have projectors.
Case in point of not needing projectors. My brother has these in his silverado..

Oh don't worry about the shiny headers... they are OBX I bet they will discolor or surface rust up nice and quick. IIRC OBX doesn't not use 300 grade stainless, but things could have changed.
Magnet stick to them?
And all this work and you can't go buy a cheap $42 fender!

Like I've said 100 times before...NOPE! haha There isn't a single straight panel on the truck, why would I worry about one?

These OBX were the only stainless ones available for a GMT400. Although considering their crap fitment, I probably could have made just about anything fit nearly as well.
Jon, that is just slid over the pipe. They are Summit brand v-bands, and the directions say to slide them like that to pilot. You dont normally do that?

Slipped v bands and graphite ring groove usually makes for a guarantee fit with a nice tight seal. But ive found it more necessary to implement an inconel flex bellow after them to prevent future issues.

OBX does decent work for the import/FWD crowd, but they still have to step up their game for the domestic trucks, from the looks of it.
