Who said there was an issue. You need to relax old man. And if you can find a way to prove my slowed results with my car wrong I will bow down to you.. But until you can manage to do that then all you say means nothing.

And no the F-body stuff wont go back on the Pink car. Its coming off because its not needed.

you should relay that to all the people i see with completely stock GA's with a shitty cold air and maybe a cat back that feel they need the bigger brakes.

Well... GA's are heavier and that hurts braking.

What's crazy is the guys running 130mph with their Camaro downgrading from power disc/drum to manual disc/drum. haha

well power disc/drum to manual is not that big of a deal... All the race cars at Thompson that are circle track are all manual brakes. Even the ones who do average a speed of 110 around the track with a straight speed of 130+

Yes, if you set it up right manual is fine. That's what I have on my Camaro. But I see too many guys just ditch the booster slap the master on the firewall. You need to go with a smaller bore master and change your pedal ratio too.

For whatever reason something with the brakes on the n-bodies makes them pulsate. I had this happen on my Alero until I did the upgrade. And it sure did make it slower (not to mention I went from 15x6 to 17x8.5 wheels with 235/45R17 tires at the same time).

Either way the rotors have been on for almost 50,000 miles with no problems. The originals were off at 17k

they still only weigh in at roughly 3100lbs

that pulsating is from warped rotors. nothing to do with the stock braking system.

Rotors warp easily when they are undersized...

they dont warp as easily as they do on a beretta but they end up warping. the GA should have gotten the 12" to begin with.

Ok, so that is exactly the opposite of what you said before! haha

Re: Well... its time to retire

ok well i screwed myself on the comment hahaha but in the end from the factory it should have come with little bigger front brakes and wheel bearings without the abs crap on them.

the stock setup does an acceptable job at braking. the comment you quoted was directed at the people that do the swap because they buy crap rotors for the stock N-body stuff and they keep warping rotors.

i still want to get to the track and do a comparison between the stock brake setup and the f-body setup. obviously it wont be done in the same day but id like to see if it slows the car down if any in the 1/4.

On the Alero a hard stop would get rid of any pulsations for a while. Over the last 12 years, I have only had 1 set of rotors go bad on the beretta and that's because they cracked. They were on it since I bought it until 2008 right before Niagara.
