Re: First post from my new house!
Put a tire rack up for the off-season Cruze tires. Also picked up a sweet shelving unit for $20...score! My other mod is a bunch of Mopar crap my old man stuffed in my garage while I was in Denver. Most of it is gone now, but I'm still stuck with an engine, trans & rear in the corner.

Re: First post from my new house!
Garage is a wreck. Getting everything together to do the roof. Black shingles FTW! Planned on doing the roof this weekend but the weather sucks. Hauled a load of junk to the landfill for the in-laws so I can use his dump trailer for the old shingles. That is one heavy SOB! Unloading it is tits though, just hit a button.
Also adding an infrared radiant tube heater to the garage and doubling up on insulation for R60 total. Best, most even heat behind radiant floor heat from what I'm reading...sealed combustion and no moving air inside. Mocked it up and have to get a guy to run the natural gas lines and vent pipes. Plan to keep the thermostat on 50 or so all the time. Hoping the added insulation will keep the heat bill about the same...should be close.

I love the tire rack, looks good in there. That's quite a bit of insulation sitting in there too. You plan on re-insulating the garage?

It's enough to double up the house to R60. May do the same with the garage. Hoping to keep the heat bill about the same it is now.

Re: First post from my new house!
Was hoping to get the house and garage done this weekend, but ran into problems with the house. All the plywood needed replacing. So that killed another day and another $1300...this project is getting pricey. Luckily I had a lot of help from friends. I'm really liking the black shingles though. And I finally installed my retractable attic access ladder. Now I can get up there to do all the heater vent routing.

Yup, Mazdaspeed 3.0 sticker and all. It's his third Mazda and they're all slow as hell. This one is a 3.0L even. If I get annoyed with my truck's power all it takes is a drive in his and I appreciate it more. haha

Here's some old pics. Got the garage roof done and the heater installed. Ran CSST gas pipe throughout the house and garage. Loving the heater.
