Carfax changed their service. You have to pay per report for $34.99 or buy a block of 5 reports for $44.99. It's no longer unlimited.

Why do you think they are pushing car fax so much on TV now... they want dealerships to have to buy them...

dont quote me on this but i think in NC you can a vehicle history report for 10-15 dollars from the DMV. IIRC you have to fill out a form or be a certified car dealer. if you know someone that owns a lot or whatever it might be worth a look.

Carfax isn't even all that great. It tells you half of what is important then tells you all about title transfers.

in ontario they force us to buy the 'used vehicle sales package'. this shows all previous registrants, and liens, $20

I can look up any VIN # off my phone from my carfax app. I work at a dealership so they gave me the password for it and its unlimited. I just haven't been given the password for the actually website yet.
